The summer school syllabus is a self-directed tour of D.C., developed by our in-house historian to make your summer visit educational and enjoyable.
The Jefferson’s in-house historian presents a new, immersive perspective on experiencing the history of Washington D.C. with four customized walking tours. Whether it’s a visit down Pennsylvania Avenue, America’s Grand Boulevard or a view of Honoring Influential Women, a tour exists for every interest.
We are also offering three boat tours available for our guests to ride down the Potomac River to visit and see historic sites in Washington D.C.

The Heirloom Package
To mark the centennial anniversary, The Jefferson DC has collaborated with D.C.’s most historic destination for fine jewelry and luxury timepieces. The Tiny Jewel Box, a beloved Washington mainstay for 93 years, has created a custom piece that is a nod to the design found in the ornate gates that greet guests as they enter The Jefferson DC lobby. Guests who book the Heirloom Package will receive the custom-made Tiny Jewel Box bracelet featuring 10 carats of diamonds as is the customary centennial gift. The celebrations continue with a minimum one-night stay in the Presidential Suite, welcome bottle of champagne and is capped off with a custom dinner for two by Executive Chef Fabio Salvatore served at the exclusive Nest table in Greenhouse. This discreet alcove is adorned with specially made wall covering of the spines of treated vintage books, the perfect backdrop to toast and celebrate.
The Heirloom package must be booked six weeks in advance and starts at $60,000 plus taxes/fees, including the Tiny Jewel Box bracelet. Guests will be connected directly to the Tiny Jewel Box concierge to complete the bracelet purchase at time of booking. It can be booked by calling 202-448-2300.
