Warmer days are coming to Washington, DC and we can’t wait to get outside. Here are some of the things on our spring to-do list in our nation’s capital
Visit the Renwick Gallery for a taste of Burning Man in DC
For those who’ve always wanted to go to Burning Man but were never able to, fear not! The Renwick Gallery has brought a part of the Nevada desert to Washington, DC! You’ll get to see some of the same artwork that is displayed in the desert each year and learn more about the art and culture behind them. This exhibit will remain in DC throughout the rest of the year. For more information on this exhibition, click here.
Make sure to stop by the East Wing at the National Gallery of Art
Recently renovated, the East Building of the NGA is one you definitely don’t want to miss. Paintings by renowned artists such as Picasso and Matisse are displayed on the beautiful mezzanine level. The building features beautiful architecture, especially the iconic staircase that mimics the one from Pei’s original building.
View the Obama Presidential Portraits at the National Portrait Gallery
While this is definitely worth the visit, be prepared to spend time in line waiting. Locals and tourists have been eager to see the portraits by artists Kehinde Wiley and Amy Sherald that went up last February.
Meet up with friends at our outdoor patio at Quill
Take advantage of our intimate and secluded patio in the heart of downtown DC. Sip on some Quill classics and enjoy a delicious lunch created by our Michelin-starred culinary team!
We hope that you are just as excited about the warm weather as we are!
