Enlightened Meetings and Events

In the spirit of its namesake, who presided over some of history's most influential gatherings, The Jefferson hotel has played a significant role in the international political and social scene. Now, following a top-to-bottom renovation, our hotel is again enlightening Washington's most elite events.

Meetings at The Jefferson are distinguished by intimate spaces that allow one group to enjoy the full attention of our experienced staff, who hosts every event with unrivalled warmth, skill and discretion.

Each of The Jefferson hotel's meeting rooms is individually designed, and each is named after one of Thomas Jefferson's favorite spaces at his beloved Monticello. They include three small meeting rooms, a boardroom, a private dining room and several parlor-like spaces. The largest accommodates 100 and the smallest no more than three.

Catering is provided by one of the world's culinary stars – our executive chef, Damon Gordon, who developed his award-winning style working alongside Alain Ducasse and in the Michelin-starred kitchens of the U.K.'s Waterside Inn. The Jefferson's event capabilities are supported by a full array of business services and equipment, including complimentary notary public service.

The Pavilion Room (689 square feet) hosts gatherings and events of up to 100 and can be partitioned into two smaller rooms – the East and West Pavilions, for groups of 40 and 45.

Accented in reds and golds, this inviting space is richly detailed down to the picture frame moldings that enhance the walls and the coffered ceilings inset with crystal chandeliers.

The Parlor Boardroom (496 square feet) is handsomely designed for high-powered parleys of up to 18 participants around an impressively grand, polished wood table crowned by tall, taper-like chandeliers.

The room's deep green walls are accented in gold.

Ideal for business interviews and even personal proposals, the East Jefferson Cabinet (117 square feet) accommodates three, and the West Jefferson Cabinet (180 square feet) no more than four, behind discreet pocket doors. McKenney Hall Indian engravings from the 19th century grace the walls, while built-in flat panel televisions let in news and entertainment from the outside world at guests' discretion.

The Book Room is a library inspired by Thomas Jefferson's love of literature. Here, surrounded by leather-bound books on Jeffersonian subjects, guests can slip into a cozy, 54-square-foot nook accommodating four for an impromptu tête à tête.

The Private Cellar (297 square feet), inspired by Jefferson's passion for wine, is the hotel's private dining room, where parties of up to 18 can sample the culinary talents of Chef Damon beneath a plaster groin-vaulted ceiling.

Its walls are lined with wine display cabinets and private wine lockers, and a dumbwaiter, fashioned after Jefferson's own design at Monticello, delivers vintages from our impressive cellar of more than 1,000 labels directly to the table.
